This could do more harm then good as taking in too many quantities of alcoholic beverages can reduce female fertility and have a negative effect on a males sperm count.  Therefore stick to the recommended daily amounts ( 1-2 units daily for females and 2-3 for males) even though if you want to really heighten your chances then less is better.  Of course when you are pregnant you are advised not to take nay alcohol at all.
  • Another one of the causes of fertility is through smoking. You should give up as soon as you can if you are thinking about getting pregnant. Not only will it increase the chances of a miscarriage occurring but it may also effect the babies health in the long term and not make it a healthy environment when they are developing in the womb.
  • Your weight can also have an effect on how fertile you are as if you are underweight or overweight and are female, this can make your period become irregular thus reduce your chances of becoming pregnant.

So now that you know a few of the cause of fertility, you will be able to get a round about view of some of the things that could effect your chances of conceiving so you can avoid lessening your chances of conceiving.
